Who We AreThe Commission was established by the Massachusetts Legislature in 1964. It is composed of three Commissioners who are appointed by an Advisory Board representing the eight municipalities of the Central Plymouth County Water District.
What We DoWe take a partnership-based approach to developing innovative, holistic solutions to the intertwined issues of water quality, water quantity, ecosystem health, and community resiliency in our region.
Why It MattersOur drinking water supplies must be resilient and sustainable, protected over space and time, and able to withstand population increases. At stake is safe, affordable drinking water, access to fun recreational opportunities, and the health of the natural environment on which we all rely.
